Did you know that our Nation's economy is growing to depend on entry level positions in careers that require high-knowledge, high-tech skills in the sciences and mathematics, while most of our youth are not even taking college-prep science and math courses in high school?
Did you know that in Indiana nearly a quarter of our youth do not graduate from high school?
These trends MUST change, and we at NISTEM are all about changing these trends. We stand for providing preK-12 grade teachers and students with the tools they need to succeed in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. We've already offered professional development in STEM areas to hundreds of area teachers and programs for thousands of students. But we need your help.
Often those with the greatest need are least able to afford the cost of admission and transportation to these events. We need to provide transportation and also take more of our efforts to the students and teachers who desperately need STEM resources and training.
